Imperial Japanese Rising Sun outer design. A solid cherry case body featuring walnut trim with toast-colored suede insets offers bold, yet understated exterior styling. The inside is just as interesting with a “Sand & Sea” theme, referencing the island environments of the Pacific campaign. A sea foam inspired headliner and sand colored fur bottom features the chrysanthemum, the Emperor’s seal as found on the receivers of most Japanese military rifles of the era, as well as a decoupage imperial flag on the central spring bolster. This case will accept some other rifles such as the 1903 or 1903a3, Mauser K98 and possibly others but is themed specifically for the Arisaka Type 99. This case is an early display model featuring the original Tennessee Traveler spring-based retention system and bayonet/bolt magnetic platform.
